Once Upon a Time

Once upon a time,
I thought I had a mind.
I’ve lost it somewhere.
It’s disaappeared in thin air.
I’ve looked on the street,
I even looked up the creek.
Do you know the place,
That’s “safe”, just in case?
Oh where, did it go?

Pretty hat, white gloves.
All dressed up
to greet the Spring.
See the wildflowers
dressed in orange
dancing in the sun?
Frilly dress, pink shoes.
Twirling and laughing
oh, what fun
